Our Review
The Marketplace Cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat in Berkshire County. It has several locations and variations in the area (other cafes, Marketplace Kitchen Table, and Specialty Foods at Guido’s in Great Barrington). The menu is quite extensive for a fast-casual eatery and varies at each unique location. They also offer catering for a range of events from casual get-togethers to elegant events. The space feels very modern and clean, making it a wonderful place to sit down and do some work while you eat. There’s also options for takeout.
The Marketplace Cafe in Sheffield is appreciated by both tourists and locals alike. They offer signature sandwiches that are freshly made-to-order, hand-tossed salads, homemade pastries, and amazing drinks (try one of the lattes). About 10 minutes up the road is “Specialty Foods at Guido’s”, a branch of the Marketplace. They serve artisanal cheese, and prepared foods—all handmade—from sweet to savory. You can also get some grocery shopping out of the way while at this local market.
About 3 minutes down the road from Marketplace Cafe in Sheffield is Big Elm Brewing. There’s a taproom full of tasty drinks—all brewed in the Berkshires. The brewery also hosts events here and there as shown on their event calendar.
