Starving Artist Café
Our Review
The starving artist cafe was given that name mostly because of its overall aesthetic. The exterior does not give out the creativity modelled by the interior decor. It is spacious but somehow a lot of light fills the cafe. The dining hall is an interesting artwork gallery showing how much the owners support local artists. If an order takes a little longer than usual to be delivered, the artwork will definitely keep you company until it does. Located in downtown Lee, this thoughtful little spot has gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options to pick from on the menu.
This cafe is specifically known for its massive variety in crepes. The Chef goes the extra mile to get people interested in the more unusual crepe combinations. A unique attribute here is that it has a children’s play area so that the parent can focus on ordering. It’s also important to note that this cafe has counter ordering then the food is delivered to the table you’d have selected. If you’re a music lover, you’ll adore their Musical Sundays from 11am till 2pm. This is another way in which they support their local artists again since the restaurant can grab quite a large crowd.
Lee is such an interesting small town to walk around in. AniMagic is an absorbing location which is simply a walking distance from the Starving Artist. This can be a quick afternoon adventure to learn about animation since its an Animation Museum. Kids and adults who are into animation would find this location fascinating. Most visitors who accidentally bump into the Starving Artist cafe are mostly on their way to Tanglewood. A distance of 7 miles should not distract you from the outdoor Symphony Orchestra that play here along with the overwhelming greenery that comes with the area.
