Nudel
Our Review
Nudel is a home to a special, distinct Berkshire dining experience in downtown Lenox. The menu is seasonally inspired and changes every night, meaning guests can come back time and time again and try out new flavorful entrees. The cuisine is innovative and inspirational. Ingredients reflect the local food that is both grown and harvested in the area as well as the associated nature and Berkshire County culture that goes into the process. Nudel’s mentality is very much Farm to Table with a very fine dining spin. The space within the eatery is a bit on the small side, giving Nudel a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
Reservations are encouraged—and can be completed up to a week prior—via their website, as Nudel becomes pretty busy oftentimes. Dining parties are also capped off at six people at a time due to the limited space. This gives Nudel a somewhat exclusive ambiance. The head chef is a Berkshire County native and feels passionate about sourcing organic, healthy, local, and ethical ingredients as often as possible. He has been nominated for a great deal of accolades ranging from “Best Chef in the Northeast” to “The People’s Best New Chef”. Each plate’s presentation is carefully and creatively crafted, making for a mouthwatering display.
Roughly 5 minutes from Nudel is The Mount. This was American Novelist Edith Wharton’s home. It now functions as a crossover between a historic house museum and a celebration of culture. Guided tours of both the house and the onsite gardens are available to guests.
