Sheffield
About
Sheffield, a southern Berkshire County town that borders Connecticut, has a very rural and relaxing feel. It’s an authentic depiction of a standard New England town and home to an amazing collection of antique shops. The area is generally tranquil, apart from Route 7 where there are a variety of shops, a yoga studio, The Pass, and a few really good eateries. The Housatonic River also runs through the town, adding to the natural beauty. There are a few great hiking spots in Sheffield—with one being at the picturesque Race Brook Falls. It is actually the oldest town in Berkshire County as well.
Sheffield has notable scenery including expansive mountains, vistas, brooks, waterfalls, agriculture, and wildlife. The serene village of Ashley Falls is in Sheffield too. Whether stopping in to one of the local restaurants or shops, or driving by on Route 7, Sheffield is a pleasure to both observe and experience.
