Our Review

The Red Lion Inn has been welcoming guests since roughly 1773. The hotel is quite large and sits beautifully on Main Street in Stockbridge. Six United States presidents, travelers, musicians, business personnel, authors, and locals alike have come to the inn for its serenity, antiques, art, and overall culture-rich character and ambiance. The unique hideaway has a selection of seasonal packages to suit every type of trip in the Berkshires, be it adventurous or relaxation-focused. Visitors enjoy free WiFi, a library, a pool, hot tubs, meeting and event areas, feather duvets, entertainment, a fitness center, a gift shop, and more. There is a pub at the inn as well called The Lion’s Den, and the food is pretty good (they also have an award-winning wine selection).

The Lion’s Den has frequent live music which creates a nice contrast with the inn’s peaceful atmosphere. The menu has pub-style food and drinks. Live music takes place most nights, has a good mix of genres, and performers are from the region. No cover charge is necessary here.

About 6 minutes from The Red Lion Inn is the Norman Rockwell Museum. The museum houses the largest collection of Norman Rockwell’s art in the world and is a fun trip for the whole family.
