Our Review

The Egremont Village Inn has a blend of both cultural and historical feats. The building dates back to 1786, qualifying it as one of the oldest buildings around the area. While there have been additions added to the property, the building is still very similar in appearance to the dated, authentic photos shared on the Inn’s website. There are twelve rooms in the Inn, two of which are dog-friendly. Every morning there are complimentary breakfasts provided (country style) that are on the house. The food’s local and includes produce from the garden on the property.

The Inn, in South Egremont, is just shy of Great Barrington by about two miles and is pretty close to the New York and Connecticut borders. That said, there’s a good mix of “country charm”  (chickens and goats are present) and getaway vibes, with fun Berkshire activities close by. The Egremont Barn, which is under 200 feet away from the main Inn building, has live entertainment, food, and drinks—it’s even been featured in Vogue. The menu has continually-changing healthy pub-style options as well as craft beers and cocktails. Seating is both outdoor and indoor here.

Under 10 minutes west of the Egremont Village Inn is Catamount Mountain Resort. In the winters, guests ski and snowboard the mountains. In summer, the aerial park, white water rafting, and more open up. There’s something for everyone that will lead to a great time.
