Old Inn on the Green
Our Review
The historic and culture-rich Old Inn on the Green is located in the scenic village of New Marlborough. It’s encompassed by lush meadows and expansive fields. At one point, it was actually a stagecoach relay, but now offers dining, lodging, event planning, and catering services. When it comes to food and beverages specifically, The Old Inn on the Green has fine dining on site with candle-lit rooms and tables. Throughout the dining room—which also has a crackling fireplace—there is a charming countryside aesthetic that adds to the very warm and intimate ambiance. When summer weather rolls around, those who are visiting to dine may enjoy an outdoor canopied patio (it stems off of the taproom).
The Old Inn on the Green is home to beautiful lodging rooms as well. They are very elegant and exquisite, with a modern country-esque look and feel. Business personnel, travelers, locals, and more can all equally enjoy the experience of visiting the Old Inn on the Green. In addition to regular dining and lodging, catering and event planning are also available by request. Catering is full service and fully customizable with selections consisting of local and seasonal menu items. The Old Inn on the Green’s event planning is unique, innovative, and of utmost quality.
About a mile from the Old Inn on the Green is Dry Hill. This is a hiking area run by the Trustees that has over 200 acres of land to explore. There’s a mile-long loop with a stream, ponds, swamps, and many ferns. Regarding difficulty, walking the trail is considered moderate. Dry Hill is also open to the public all year.
